• We have years of experience, and the company is currently translating and subtitling some of the most-viewed series in South Africa.
  • We cover English, Zulu, Xhosa, Afrikaans, Pedi, Sotho, Venda, Tswana, Ndebele, Swati and Tsonga. For other languages, we will use a native speaker together with a subtitler to translate and to ensure that subtitles are timed correctly.
  • We screen and train all our subtitlers, and our permanent team are experienced and well-qualified.
  • All our subtitles go through a stringent proofreading process, and we always use two or more people to translate and proofread, including a  speaker of the content language and an English (or target language) first language speaker, to ensure nothing gets lost in translation.
  • The subtitles undergo thorough spelling and grammar checks.
  • Our subtitles follow scientifically-based placement rules, where reading speed, time on screen, the consideration of shot changes, and many more aspects are considered.
  • Our subtitlers are creative people, ensuring that the drama, tone, meaning and characterisation are conveyed in the captions.
  • We follow the latest language trends, we use British English (South African) spelling as well as US English spelling, and we also allow for some local words and phrases if this is requested.
  • We aim to always produce subtitles of a very high quality.
  • Subtitling for editing purposes: We provide accurate, direct translations on a timeline or with time codes (also considering pauses in sentences) for editors who are not familiar with the spoken language.
  • Subtitles can be created on various platforms, and are compatible with most editing software for Windows or Mac OS.
